Marzano (PV) The bridge-channel cable Morocco
Nestled in the woods of poplars, on the border town between March and Torre d'Arese runs a little over two centuries, channeled between two enormous earthen levees, Channel Lorini Morocco, the last massive irrigation works constructed in lands east of Pavia. In the immediate vicinity of Marzano, said irrigation canal crosses the River Lambro Meridionale with a beautiful stone bridge consisting of six round arches slender, about one hundred meters long. The construction was completed in 1808 and is unique in the area for greatness. Approaching the wall, we can also see how people once worked with a refined artistic sense even structures built for the sole purpose functional, in fact, some will keep the plaster that covered the entire artifact, the plaster was tinted with "Clay", in imitation of the underlying masonry brick; work "painstaking" the fake brick on the bottom, it was even carried out with beds of mortar and finished with a drawn righell0 (see photo detail). Unfortunately, as usual, however, indifference is the master of this era, and the entire structure has quite ominous cracks where the water penetrates the overlying channel, leach on the wall that the height of summer is covered with moss and erbusti and , freezes in winter, giving us the beautiful but dangerous ice falls (see photo). Yet it is not expensive fill the cracks, but this is done very rarely. The monument challenge
time, unmoved by his gait, the modern man and let it be with an eye no longer looks, as if the sweat and toil of men after they no longer value.
